The goal of this project was to create infographics that would educate diverse audiences about visible and invisible disabilities. The graphics were posted on The Rise Journey’s social media and blog posts, and remain the website’s most visited blog pages.

I wanted to make sure that the infographics were engaging, colorful, and educational without overpowering the viewer with too much information. Using research and data in conjunction with The Rise Journey’s brand colors and typography guidelines, I created infographics that matched the brand’s voice and overall visual style.

I also wanted to make sure the graphics featured invisible disabilities prominently alongside visible disabilities in order to raise awareness about them. Invisible disabilities are disabilities that are not easily identifiable by the naked eye. By situating invisible disabilities alongside more visible disabilities, such as a person using a wheelchair or other assistive device, the viewer can more easily understand that invisible disabilities should be treated respectfully and equally, and that all people with disabilities deserve accommodations and dignity.
